Since the construction of the "Zero Sewage Direct Discharge Zone", Hongqiao Town has strictly implemented the "Four Railways" policy, built an invincible water control iron army, built a fast water control iron network, formulated military orders like a mountain of water control iron laws, and set off all the people. The iron curtain for water control in the country ensures that sewage "should be cut to the limit and everywhere". While accelerating the treatment of the source on the bank, Hongqiao Town simultaneously implements comprehensive river remediation. The 14 tributaries that have a greater impact on the water quality of the Donggan River, including the River, Shahe, Donghe, and Tanghe, are the first phase of the project, and comprehensive measures such as dredging and ecological management have been formulated. The remaining 78 branch rivers will be taken as the second batch of rectification targets, which will be promoted in phases for global rectification.

Among them, Tang River is a secondary tributary of Donggan River, diagonally across Qicun, Bacun, and Daxianyang in Hongqiao Town, with a length of 1.75 kilometers, an average river width of about 15 meters, and an average water depth of about 2 meters. Affected by domestic sewage from coastal towns, non-point sources of farmland, and sewage inflow from Qijian River and Donghe River, the water quality of the pond has been poor for a long time, which indirectly caused water pollution to the Donggan River. To this end, the Hongqiao Town Water Control Office hired CCCC Shanghai Waterway Survey and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. to implement it, mainly implementing the drainage enhanced treatment project, the in-situ enhanced purification project, the aquatic plant remediation and the microbial agent enhanced purification project, and the water ecological interception project. A large-scale project, the introduction of EHBR enhanced coupling biomembrane technology, to achieve scientific water control.

Now the EHBR enhanced coupling biofilm has been installed in the first phase of the Tanghe River Treatment Project, and the water body has improved significantly from the beginning of the improvement. Subsequent water quality improvement measures will be implemented for the Tang River, such as covering yellow mud soil on the riverbed, planting aquatic plants, making biological floating beds, placing microbial hanging fungi balls, etc., to finally achieve water quality improvement, and the ammonia nitrogen and dissolved oxygen indicators will reach surface water V Class standard, the transparency of the water body is not less than 25 cm.

After seeing the initial results of the treatment of the Tanghe River, everyone in Hongqiao should reflect on the fact that water pollution in a place reflects the pollution of the local people. Behind the water body turning black and smelly, it is caused by people's failure to treat the water well and various bad behaviors. Throwing rubbish casually, discharging domestic and industrial sewage at will, resulting in serious pollution of the final water body. The foundation of water governance is the governance of the mind, and the key to water governance is the governance of people. Only by strengthening the social moral construction of the whole people and improving the level of social ideology and morality can we truly eliminate pollution from the source.
